Remix Baby: Phoenix "Lisztomania (Shook Remix)"
Maybe its because we’re completely blown away by this, but this could be one of the best remixes we’ve heard. Turning Phoenix’s Lisztomania into a funky soulful disco track, it really touches all the spots and its all down to dutch producer Shook. We are MIGHTY impressed.

We’ve kind of fallen in love with Body Language over the last week or so, You Can and Social Studies being are particular favourites. Here’s a great remix of Social Studies by Plastic Plates that takes away some of the cuteness of the original, adds a great double clap, and makes it into this cool little funky song. Go to PLASTiC PLATES soundcloud for some more great remixes.

Hoodie Allen: "Leap Year Mixtape"
Been waiting for this one since Mr. H. Allen dropped a teaser for his new mixtape Leap Year two weeks ago and then further enticed us with an official video for The Chase Is On. The follow up to his first mixtape, Pep Rally ,shows the evolution of Hoodie Allen, and he regards it as “me growing up on record”. Now everyone seems to be sampling indie tracks (Hoodie and Chiddy Bang seem...

St. Lucia: "All Eyes On You"
We really liked their first single The Old House Is Gone and now Heavy Roc’s St. Lucia have come back with a second single that is just as good, maybe even better. All Eyes On You is perfect again for summer and there’s something to it that hits us a little harder than their first single. And yes, it has a sax solo in it. Ladies and gentlemen, it gives me great pleasure to say the...

Best of 2011 So Far. According to ITYLTS.
Its July, so we’ve just passed into the second half of the year, HIGH FIVES. And with that milestone, every blog seems to be coming out with a best of the year so far list, so we thought we’d do the same. This is based merely on what ITYLTS thinks has been great this year. The only requirements to be on the list is for the track to either be released this year or to have...

Working at Glastonbury this year meant I was opposite the G Stage and managed to see/hear a few bands. On the Sunday night, Pretty Lights was one of them. Now Pretty Lights has released a great mash up for summer including all the greats like...
