Remix Baby: Magic Man “Paris (Pacific Air Remix)”

(via Mostly Junk Food)

Should you turn a gloriously happy song into an urgent percussion filled electro synth track? Yes, when it sounds like this. Pacific Air completely transforms Magic Man’s “Paris” and it just works.

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros: “Better Days”

This is a bit good isn’t it?

Like “Home”, this one has that ambling collective quality that makes you want to get up and join this crazy gang and go off on adventures, clapping and singing all the way.

“Better Days” is from the upcoming new album, due worldwide July 29th.

HAERTS: “All The Days”

(via FabricSound)

With only one release so far, the fantastic “Wings”, HAERTS have managed to get signed to Neon Gold/Columbia and gain quite the following on the blog circuit. Now they’ve released their follow up and its more of the same excellent dreamscape synth pop with a glorious breakdown in the middle.

Oh, when Jessie Ware comes in…amazing.

At The xx’s “Day + Night+ festival in Berlin, they started off performing a cover of Modjo’s eraly 00s dance hit “Lady” over a Jamie xx remix beat and then Jessie Ware arrived to deliver that irresistible hook from Stardust’s “Music Sounds Better With You”.

LIVE: Kanye West on SNL (“Black Skinhead” & “New Slaves”)

“Black Skinhead”

When I first the snippet of new Kanye song “New Slaves” I wasn’t too fussed. That changed when he performed that and other new track “Black Skinhead” over the weekend on SNL. The energy and the attitude that ‘Ye delivered made these songs and now I’m excited about the new album Yeezus, its going to be like nothing he has done before.

disCOVER: Wilsen “Oblivion (Grimes cover)”

(via Gold Flake Paint)

Wilsen turns Grimes’ electric “Oblivion” into a stripped down, quiet dream pop version and if you don’t think that will work…well listen, cause it does.

“Oblivion” is the b-side to to new single “Dusk”, from the mini-album Sirens.

Sunny & Gabe: “Clouds”

(via Pigeons and Planes)

This is shimmery summer perfection.

Flipping the drum beat of Q-Tip’s “Breathe and Stop”, Sunny & Gabe’s “Clouds” is a hazy dream pop esque track that is optimism in music. This is end credits kind of music.

Sunny & Gabe are from Norfolk, VA and “Clouds” is from the upcoming release #FreeCandy.
