Nothing new here but freaking amazing music. Masta Ace’s 2004 album “A Long Hot Summer” was a perfect summer album to accompany those hot and humid NY summers (I’d imagine…). The album follows its two protagonists, Ace and Fats Belvedere on their adventures and schemes. Highlight of the album for me is “Soda & Soap” featuring Jean Grae. The beat is a hot and humid summer and MA’s delivery fits it to a tee. Listen out for those soda and soap references, y’all.
