The Helio Sequence // “Hallelujah” from Keep Your Eyes Ahead

Another band that have been around for a long while, 1998 again, that I only recently discovered. To be fair, back in 1998 I was 10 so maybe I wouldn’t have appreciated The Helio Sequence as much as I do now. Hallelujah comes from their 2008 album Keep Your Eyes Ahead and was included in the same mixtape I mentioned a few posts down from http://www.allthingsgomusic.com. 

From Portland, Oregon the duo made up of Brandon Summers and Benjamin Weikel (who has played with Modest Mouse) have a fun indie/rock/electronica fused sound that makes for great listening. Hallelujah just keeps rolling on from amazing to awesome to a chorus that brings it all together to induce the euphoric anthem that I have come to love.
