We posted about their Cantora Records labelmates, Bear Hands, yesterday which is when we first found out about Francis and the Lights. We decided to give them another listen today.

Francis and the Lights is the name used by producer and songwriter Francis Farewell Starlite. Bubbling under the surface since 2008, Francis and the Lights are starting to get some major attention having toured with Drake, La Roux, MGMT and Ke$ha. A mixture of electropop, synths, funk, soul, rnb, great melodies and lyrics has got tongues figuratively wagging amongst music blogs. Give it a listen.

Brooklyn band Bear Hands are an indie/folk/alternative/electronica outfit that are with the same label, Cantora Records, that introduced the world to MGMT. Bear Hands have supported MGMT, Passion Pit and NME love them. Perfect for the background to a party as much as its fine for just listening on your own, ITYLTS are excited about Bear Hands.
