She & Him: “I Could’ve Been Your Girl”

She & Him’s Volume Three is shaping up quite nicely with singles “Never Wanted Your Love" and new one "I Could’ve Been Your Girl". The sixties throwback duo M. Ward and Zooey Deschanel have crafted another nostalgic slice of american pie and just sounds lovely.

Volume Three is out May 7 on Merge Records, info here

She & Him: “Never Wanted Your Love”

Before Zooey Deschanel was in the fantastic New Girl and after she was in the hilarious Elf, ZD was in an adorable music duo called She & Him with M. Ward. They released two albums, Volume One and Volume Two that were full of sweet throwback indie guitar pop songs like “In The Sun" "Why Do You Let Me Stay Here”. Now She & Him are back with a third album and a new single, “Never Wanted Your Love” so enjoy.

The new album is due May 7th and tour dates have been announced across the US (via Huffington Post).

She & Him: “Oh Boy”

We posted up Fiona Apple and Jon Brion’s cover of Buddy Holly’s Everyday from the Buddy Holly covers compilation album Rave On Buddy Holly last week. Popping up this week is the offering from She & Him, Oh Boy. As always, M. Ward and Zooey Deschanel have delivered their usual brand of sweet 50s/60s inspired pop that is the perfect fit for covering Buddy Holly.
