Here’s an official video for the wonderful oh so wonderful “Wings” from Haerts.
The 20/20 Experience dropped on Monday and to keep up the hype in this fickle world JT and his team have put out the video for “Mirrors”. Dedicated to his grandparents and a celebration of their 63-year old marriage, the video waits for “You Are, You Are The Love Of My Life” chant to show JT who then proceeds to dance through a hall of mirrors. It’s really quite good choreography as well and JT nails it.
Also, here’s “Blue Ocean Floor”, truly a stand out from the new album. Kinda Sigur Ros, kinda Radiohead and really beautiful.
I was actually waiting for this video, like this was something I was looking forward to. The tone suggests I am disappointed let me tell you now this is as far from the truth as could be. Its classic Haim, with choregraphed sisterly dance moves, vintage outfits and staging of two sisters looking at each other while the other one sings to the camera. Its got all the elements that make a classic Haim video, enjoy.
Also, unless something else comes along that literally blows my mind to edge it out, Haim’s “Falling” is going in my end of the year list.
The visuals to go with Justin Timberlake’s new track “Suit & Tie” are here and of course they’re good. Directed by David Fincher, its full of old school black and white class. It looks good, but I kind of expected more, you know, but I don’t know what else they could have done… either way, sounds good looks good.
Your boy Hoodie Allen is making major moves with this professional looking video and production from !llmind for the latest track “Cake Boy”. HA is giving away the single as a thank you to the Hoodie Mob for getting the debut album All American to the top of the iTunes charts last year. Along with Macklemore, Hoodie is representing for the independents and its never sounded better.
Aw, they’ve gone all “Sky’s The Limit” on us and given us a lil’ Jessie Ware and a lil’ Julio Bashmore for the video for “Sweet Talk”
Fresh off the release of their debut EP We Will Wake and a Blog Sound of 2012 nomination, Seasfire has dropped the video for the powerful “We Will Wake”. Be sure to check out my Seasfire interview.
Here’s the video for the new track from The Neighbourhood “Let It Go”
Over the weekend there was an interesting interview and article in The Guardian with the sisters Haim. Apparently they’ve been doing this since they were little in like some kind of family band, I’d imagine something akin to Dr. Funke’s 100 Percent Natural Good Time Family Band Solution but that is obviously only if dreams come true. Having ditched the parents, the three sisters that make up HAIM are coming off of a brilliant EP with a few tracks that are hopefully from an upcoming album due in Spring 2013 sometime. Here’s hoping.
