It all started when I innocently posted up Cameo’s amazing “Candy” on my facebook. Before I knew it myself and Selfish Dan were in a tense and constantly heating up “Summer Off”. Trying to best each other with the better summer song we went from early 90s west coast hip hop to 90s one-hit-wonders to chilled out ibiza anthems to a Beach Boys remix.

Here’s Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. doing a great rendition of the sensational Beach Boys classic God Only Knows for Rolling Stone Magazine.

Its always a bit hit and miss with the Guardians Band of the Day feature but we always try to have a look at what they throw up. Todays was Airbird (aka Joel Ford). We went to their myspace and liked what we heard, chilled out electro/dance kind of things. We saw that there was a track called Surfer Girl not realising it was a cover of the awesome Beach Boys. It was, and its a great cover.
